My PHP chat script is 100% PHP that outputs 100% valid html and stores all information in flat files, that means no fiddly databases to configure, all that means no dodgy software for your visitors to install on their machines. This is also useful for a instant messaging sort of system where users may not be allowed to use services such as MSN web messenger on public machines.
